When you’re in the middle of the struggle you are giving it everything you’ve got. If you’re dealing with emotional drivers in your eating – and let’s face it, most of us are! Then you’re probably experiencing any kind of weight-loss program that you do as suffering and deprivation to some degree.
When you are suffering or feeling deprived, you want to be rewarded immediately. When you see a fast change on the scale, it’s a little easier to face the suffering and deprivation of saying no to fattening food pleasures than if you’re getting no results, or if you’re not losing weight fast enough to off-set the pain and stress you are creating in your life with the diet.
The problem with this needing an immediate sign that the diet is working has to do with the Law of Attraction (LOA). Any kind of needy energy on your desired result actually repels the goal and prevents you from getting it.
One of the best things you can do for yourself when you want to change what is showing up for your in your physical body is to trust that the change is already happening, pretend that the change is already happening, clear any negative beliefs, doubts, or cravings with the emotional freedom technique (EFT) or other meridian tapping therapy, and then give it time to manifest in your physical reality.
In other words, in addition to using EFT to clear any blockages in your energy, behaviors, memories, etc., you need to be patient with your body. After all, it’s been patient with you for all these years. You owe it to your body to be patient and gentle with it.
By being patient with your body and trusting that you are going to get the results you desire, you are putting the Law of Attraction to work for you. You will get those great results much faster than if you try to force it by impatiently demanding immediate results in your body.
Stay encouraged. Stay focused. Tap away anything that doesn’t feel good or that isn’t in support of your thin healthy and gorgeous body. And have faith that you will succeed in reaching your weight-loss goal.
